About Me

Hello, and thanks for stopping by! My name is Cheyenne. I'm just your average mid-western American girl who happened to marry a Punjabi boy. I've always had a passion for history, culture, and the different people of the world. I've loved it so much, in fact, that I went to Indiana State and got my B.S. in History! Once I realized that the world has no use for people with History degrees, I went back to school and earned my Master's in Secondary Education, making me a Social Studies teacher!

I am originally from Terre Haute, Indiana, and my husband is from Mumbai, India. We lived together in Indianapolis, IN for 3 years, until relocating to Cincinnati, OH in 2016 for my husbands job. On 7/7/17 (what a good date?) we purchased our first home! It looks like we'll be here in Cincy for awhile!

One of the best things, to me, about dating an Indian is that I get a first hand look at a new culture. There's not a day that goes by that I'm bored with it. My love for culture helps me to easily assimilate. Not many cultural difference based fights here! My goal of this blog, is not only to share my recipe's and love of cooking, but to share my experience in being married to someone from a different culture. I hope that I can help new couples to realize that cultural difference do not have to be a barrier, but something that brings more enrichment to a relationship!
